A message from GRANT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Good Sunday evening everyone.  This is Mr. Freeman emailing from Grant Elementary School with a look at the things going on in Cougar country this week.  This week is another big week at Grant.  Jog-A-Thon pledge packets went home and students will be running to raise funds for their classes on Friday.  100% of the money raised goes to the classrooms so I want to encourage everyone to get behind this great cause.  I also want to invite parents to come out on Friday and run with us or volunteer to help with water and marking laps.  To help keep our students safe we will have our Bus Evacuation drills happening this week.  Wednesday night we will have our first CEF Meeting of the year.  The Centerville Education Foundation is committed to supporting our students and staff and they will be meeting at 7:00 in the Library if you would like to help them this year.  Thursday night we will have a parent meeting for our 8th grade class.  The meeting will be at 7:00 in the Science classroom and parents are encouraged to attend to learn how they can help make this year great for their graduate.  Sign ups will be available for parents to help with the different graduation committees so you don’t want to miss this meeting.  The week will wrap up with a Welcome Back Dance Friday night from 7:00-9:30 for grades 7-8.  The theme will be Disney.  That’s a look at the week that will be at Grant.  For more information on any of these events, check out our web site or like us on Facebook.  Thanks for your time.  Let’s expect the best this year.  GO COUGARS!
