Good afternoon Grant Families,
This is PTO President, Tracee Kelly, emailing on behalf of the Grant PTO to thank you for supporting us through another fabulous year! This year PTO was able to contribute $5,000 toward two Chromebook carts for 3rd grade, $6,000 toward field trip transportation costs, $1,615 for an AED Defibrillator, as well as giving close to $5,000 to our classrooms for supplies and curriculum. In addition, each year the PTO sponsors the Spelling Bee, Art Fair, Talent Show, Science Fair, Kindergarten Roundup and financially supports the Aaron Grossman Scholarship. Also, thanks to the help of several volunteers, we were once again successful in hosting the annual Grant Harvest Festival, bringing the total put back into our school close to $18,000!
None of this would have been possible without the support of our generous Grant families and we’d like to let you know how you can continue to support our mission as we kick off our 18/19 fundraising. PTO has partnered with “1st Day School Supplies.” This simple process provides parents the option of taking care of your student(s) School Supply List before the craziness of summer vacation takes over. These kits contain the items the teachers have requested for 2018/19 and are the same quality national brands you would typically purchase. Each kit is delivered to the school about a week before school starts and are labeled with your child’s name. Best of all the cost is comparable, if not cheaper than purchasing items at the store. The parents who have already made their purchases and have been excited about how quick and easy the process is.
