A message from GRANT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Good Sunday evening everyone.  This is Mr. Freeman emailing from Grant Elementary School and I have a couple of important announcements this week.  I want to make sure that everyone knows about the upcoming Daddy/Daughter Dance put on by our Sports Boosters.  The Sparkle and Shine Dance will be in the MUR on Thursday, 11/9 from 7:00-9:30.  Tickets are on sale in the Main Office for $20/couple.  This is a great event and a wonderful opportunity to make some memories with your girls.  Thanks Sports Boosters for making this event a highlight of the year.  Speaking of highlights, I want to thank the 5th grade and the entire Grant School community for the incredible Veteran’s Day Assembly on Friday.  It was a powerful tribute to our veterans and it was special to see everyone come together.  Of course, this Friday we will be closed in observance of Veterans Day but this week we would like to do something sweet for our veterans.  We will be partnering with Operation Gratitude and we need your help.  We would like to send your extra uneaten Halloween candy to troops serving overseas.  You can donate your candy to the District Office and we will send it off.  It’s a win-win because it gives parents the perfect chance to thin down the Halloween haul and gives our soldiers a little taste of the holidays from home.  We will be accepting donations through this week so stop by.  Don’t forget about the Sports Boosters Web Store open now through 11/19.  You can get your holiday Grant gear with the latest looks and brands.  Just check out the banner on our home page.  That’s it for me tonight.  Thanks for your time.  Let’s expect the best this week.  GO COUGARS!
